Study inbox

Outside studies. The right patient. One clear inbox.

When an MRI arrives from another imaging centre, your team needs it in the patient record. UnoPACS brings incoming studies into an inbox, proposes a patient match and lets your team confirm the assignment.

From arrival to patient record

Three steps your team can follow.

The incoming study and the patient record stay part of the same workflow.

  1. Receive the study

Studies from connected modalities and external imaging sources arrive in the inbox. The available connection depends on the sending system; we review those sources during setup.

  2. Review the proposed patient

UnoPACS uses available study information, including patient details and identifiers, to propose an assignment. Your team checks the proposal against the patient record.

  3. Confirm and open

Confirm the patient or select the correct record. The assigned study is then available to open in the viewer. A person remains responsible for the decision.

Make the exception visible.

A name variation or an incomplete identifier should prompt a check. A matching proposal helps your team make that check; it does not replace it.

  • For the practice team

Work through incoming studies in one place and check who each one belongs to before it joins the record.

  • For the treating clinician

Open the assigned images in the patient context instead of repeating the import and patient search during the consultation.

  • For your setup

Bring an example of the information your referring partners send. We can walk through normal arrivals and ambiguous cases together.

Questions

Before you connect a source

What the inbox does, and where your team stays involved.

Are studies assigned without a person checking?

The workflow described here proposes a patient and asks a person to confirm. Your team can choose another record when the proposed match is not correct.

Can every hospital send studies automatically?

Automatic delivery requires an agreed connection with the sending system. Tell us which hospitals, portals and modalities you use so we can confirm the available route for each source.

Do we need to replace our existing PACS?

UnoPACS can complement an existing PACS for receiving, sharing and browser access. The integration review establishes how it fits your systems.
